Choose My Adventure

Supercomputer-CYOAI am addicted to the Humble Bundles. I have bought them all and played none of them. I always intend to play them, but now I am faced with a giant list of games and no way to decide for myself which one to start with. So, dear readers, I turn to you.

Please take a moment, check out this list and vote for as many as 5 games. The game with the most votes will be the one that I play first, then the one with the next most, and so on, until I run out of games or feel the need to post another poll. As incentive, I promise to review each game that I play, thus giving you more things to read at this blog.

Which game should I play next?

I’ll be playing these games on Steam, so if you are also on Steam, feel free to add me as a friend. I go by Jhaer over there.

Thank you for your time.

  1. I have played both Trine and Torchlight, and both are fantastic games.

Legend of Grimrock is a new purchase for me, so I am just recommending it because it looks awesome and my younger brothers urge me to get to it, they rate it as one of the better games of 2012.

  2. Bastion: Fun 3rd person RPG type game. 9 Hours played, have been meaning to play it again but I have the same problem with so many other games to play due to steam sales as well as the humble bundle.

Limbo: Side Scroller puzzle game. 77 Minutes Played. Was fun and short.

Psychonauts: Action puzzle game. 17 hours by far the longest game on this list. I enjoyed it quite a bit enough to recommend it on steam.

Spacechem: Puzzle game where you have to use tools to create chemical reactions. About 1/3 through the game and 4 hours in.

VVVVVV: Very frustrating game. There is no jump you switch gravity to avoid obstacles. 8 Hours Played. Even though it was difficult I enjoyed it.

  3. Bastion has taken an early lead, but we’ve only had 8 voters so far. I’m not planning to start a game until the new year, so there are still a few days for that to change.

The poll will stay open until the end of January, allowing for the results to continue to change.

  4. It looks like Bastion has won first position. Of course, the poll will remain open until the end of January, so keep voting to put the rest of the games on the list.
